PRAGUE. Czech basketball representative Tomáš Satoranský is not missing from the Czech Republic’s 12-man nomination for EuroBasket 2022.

The 30-year-old quarterback injured his ankle in the game against Germany. A specialist from Washington, where Satoranský spent most of his NBA career, also looked at his health.

The question remains how bad his ankle is and how much time he can spend on the board in difficult matches.

“His condition is improving, although the recovery time was very short. Finally, after considering all the circumstances and risks, Tomáš decided to try it, and we will all hope that his ankle will last a long time,” Czech national coach Ronen Ginzburg told the media. .

The Czech Republic coach does not yet know whether the five-time best Czech basketball player will play in the opening game of the tournament. Already on Friday 2 September they will start a match against Poland in the O2 Arena in Prague.

“I don’t know yet if he will be ready to play in all games. We will see more in today’s training, how he will feel and if he can start against Poland tomorrow. to join the team.”

Palyza, Půlpán and Vyoral, who left the team over the weekend, were not included in the final nomination.

“I am satisfied with the selected twelve. I am a little less satisfied with the preparation, where we missed many players in the matches. But in the end we have them back,” said coach Ginzburg.
